Prewriting

This week we had to work on our prewriting skills.  I practiced with informal outlining and freewriting.  What I liked about the informal outlining is that it shows me what needs to be put into my final paper.  This way I don't forget what needs to be added into the paper.  Then with the freewriting style I enjoyed being able to just write and not really worry about grammer, spelling or punctuation.  I just wrote whatever came to mind.  I am still a litte nervous about the final paper but I know I will do my best.  As far as the blogging stuff goes I don't really find a huge need for it.  I don't expect to use this once I am done with school.  I never really got into doing things such as a journal. 

Citations

Now when it comes to citations I always question myself if I am doing them the proper way.  I am still learning about this whole APA standard of writing.  And everyone keeps telling me that it will get easier.  I hope this is true!  If anyone has any pointers please share them with me!  Thanks

Research Questions

I have been sitting here thinking about the different research questions to use.  But I am having a difficult time with this. 
The first one is:  Why does there need to be more education about Post Partum Depression?

The second one is:  What are some of the red flags that expecant mothers can look for so that they can identify if they are experiencing post partum depression?

The third one is:  What are some of the treatments that a doctor can use to help mothers deal with post partum depression?

Those are some of the questions I was working with.  I am still not sure which avenue to take!?!

New Blogger

I am very new to this whole blogging experience.  I am doing this due to it being a requirement for my English Comp class.  I am excited to see what will come out this.  Since I have never done this before I am not really sure what to expect.  But this process is not as hard as some of the other things that have to be done for class.  First I had to pick out a topic that I wanted to do a paper on.  Which I finally came up with doing, Identifying and treating post-partum depression.  Now with the thesis statement.  I had a hard time coming up with this last term so I hope I don't have the same problem this one.  We shall see!
